Sorry so long!

I'm sorry it's been a while since my last post. We went on vacation and life has also found it's way of creeping in and taking over. The trial on the 9th was uneventful. The bio parents didn't bother showing up, so the court went forward with a mediation date of September 24th. We do know that CPS is recommending Ethan's termination from his bio parents and that would place him up for adoption. With CPS on our side, we are confindent that it is only a matter of time, but did find out that the bio mom is pregnant again - complicating things, but hopefully moving proceedings with Ethan forward a bit.

Now on to the life part of the equation - we spent a week on vacation, hanging out in the sun on the beach. For those of you here in North Texas, you will understand how excited we were about the sun - which we hadn't seen in weeks because of the rain!

Ethan LOVED the water and passed his time putting sand in his ears. He truely is a fish and loved splashing in the waves with Mom and Dad. He even slept on the beach in a little tent for naps! While our schedules are now completely off, we enjoyed every minute. Since everything happened so quickly with Ethan's placement, this was the first time we really all got to spend some time as a family and not worry about work or other obligations.
