Princess-Man and the Viking

Cash and Holden have a new game... Princess-Man and the Viking...

I'm not privy to all the rules...

It involves a Princess-Man, running...

And a viking...

And, to hear them play it, it must be wildly fun!

Breakfast Time!

Breakfast around here can get messy, but Cash is always prepared!

When (almost) 3-year-olds do laundry

Cash's imagination and love of dress-up is already well documented.  It's amazing to me what he can come up with!  Here's what happens when he helps with laundry:

He becomes a super hero!  I can't think of a better way to do laundry than dressed as a super hero, can you?

Perfect! Now let's tackle this mountain of clothes!

He also dressed up like Mary as in, "Look Mom!  I Married!"

"Oh, you're getting married?"

"No mom, I MARRIED!  Like Jesus' mom, Married!"

Holden was Married too... but he didn't want to be a super hero.  He was too busy playing Tech Deck...

Christmas Program

The little boys participated in the Christmas program at their mother's day out program... with mixed results! Holden (front row, next to his teacher in the red sweater) wasn't having it...
Cash (as you can see) ate up the attention!

Both were super cute in their Christmas sweaters!

Resemblance

Like Paw Paw, like Great-grandson.

It's pretty hard to miss the resemblance between these two!

Gobble, gobble... Happy Thanksgiving!

Imagination

Lately, Cash has been busting with imaginative fun and I love it!

He can make anything out of anything. Like this morning when he put his pants on his head and declared himself an elephant... The pant legs being his trunk.

Or when he put on daddy's motorcycle helmet, jumped on a bike and dubbed himself space-bike man.

Even a pretend trip to the store is fun. He pretends to change the channels on the radio, changing the song he's singing each time, and he always has a huge list of items to purchase. Here he is heading to the lake house... You might not be able to see it at first glance, but there's a super-big imaginary watermelon in the back of his ride. He's prepared!

I love all of his stories and find his imagination to be so much fun, except of course, when he "pretends" to hit his brothers... For some reason he forgets to pretend and just hits. Oh well!

Keeping the fruit bowl in reach

... Leads to...

100 percent...

All natural...

Yumminess!

And no worries when the apples run out...

Just move on to tomatoes.

At least we haven't learned to throw them at each other yet!

Blood Pressure

What does it take for your blood pressure to shoot through the roof?

For me it's this... Mass chaos at it's best. Also known as, mommy-needs-to-talk-on-the-phone-for-ten-minutes-with-Cash's-lawyer-can-you-please-go-play-in-the-playroom.

Oh brother!

His future's so bright...

...he's gotta wear shades! All the time... Not to look cool, to protect those baby blues, of course!

A little big time

With both of the big boys in speech school daily it's not often that I get to spend gobs of alone time with them. I know it's a part of them growing up, but it makes me realize all too quickly they will soon be in school all day and stolen moments with them will become even harder.

This morning was different. The littles went to mother's day out and Stone and Cash had a teacher's inservice. The weather outside was perfect, so we headed to "sandy park" to get dirty and have some fun!

Cash found this stick early in our adventure and it served as a magic key for the rest of the morning. It opened doors to the clouds and closed the slide to his brother. His imagination astounds me!

"Sandy park" is the only park I know of in our area that still uses sand as a ground cover. The kids love the playground equipment, but treasure digging in the sand offers an extra layer of fun.

Stone loves the slides and especially enjoyed having the "windy" in his hair. It's been a while since we've had wind in Texas!

Cash rode the merry-go-round for the first time and is now in love. After working up a sweat, and thinking that I might throw up from running in circles, I got smart and taught Stone how to push him.

I brought my portable potty for the boys, so we were able to stay for a super long time (we used it twice for TT and once for poo poo, thankyouverymuch)

It was a great morning with the big half of my littles. Cash even tried pumping himself on the swing. "I'm a backing and a forthing, mommy!"

Thank you God for this opportunity to enjoy them, before they really do get too big...

Monday Morning Madness

Just so you don't think your house is the craziest one on the block!

Here's what Cash thinks that almonds are for...

Now that's one scary monster!

Happy Gotcha Day!

Two years ago we met your sweet, smiling face.  In that time, you have brought contagious joy and more warm cuddles to our home than I thought possible!  We love you so much and thank God each day for the privilege of being your parents!

We don't do presents on Gotcha Days, but we do do cake!  This years' was a super-yummy chocolate monkey cake.  Very fitting since it's rare you see Cash without Money the Monkey in tow.

Stone was especially thrilled to help Cash celebrate his big day... can you tell?

Just a quick note...

We met with our lawyer today regarding Cash's adoption.  There isn't anything going on, per se, we've just reached the point where we can finally file without his birthmother's consent.  She still has a right to fight the adoption, but we feel secure in moving forward.  Of course, we would love for you to join us in prayer over this situation.  It's always a bit scary!

Also, I was contacted by BlogHer recently as a finalist to be in the runnings for joining their ad campaigns.  This would be a HUGE blessing to our family.  Please pray that God's will be done in this situation.  He has always provided for our needs and this might just be a way in which he will continue to provide, while continuing to allow me to stay home and love on all these littles!

Music and Drumming

Who needs toys when you have Ramen Dinner Buckets?

Our favorite song of the moment?  "We're gonna walk, walk, walk, when the drum says walk, but when the drum says stop, we STOP!"

Analeigh was a little unsure of the the boys crazy beats at first, but she soon was taken by their amazing musical talents.

Cash's Big Bash

When a little boy as cute as this turns two, you have to throw a major shin-dig!  I mean, really, how could you not?

So went went all out - we had a circus!  Daddy even dressed like a clown and learned how to make balloon animals.  What a super daddy we have!

By the end of the party, Daddy pretty much rocked at his balloon creations.  Here's our neighbor Ava modeling the most elaborate of the evening, "white bunny in front of a sunset" hat.

One of Cash's absolute favorite things to do is sing and dance.  He loves his Tiny Tots and Tunes teacher and wakes up every morning asking if that day is a "Miss Hallwee" (Holly) day.  We are so thankful to Mrs. Holly for heading over to our house and leading us all in wonderful music.  It truly made Cash's birthday special!

The gluten-free treats were a big hit.  I tried really hard to make these snow pops, but instead we wound up with plain cake balls and cupcakes.  Still super yummy and a lot of fun!

Shh... don't tell anyone, but my birthday is up next.  What do you think they're planning for me?
