1) I know what's going into it
2) It's a HUGE money saver
3) It's not difficult at all
So, I've started making and freezing different items, typically when I find a fruit or veggie on sale or make something as a side for dinner. I got over-ripe bananas at Kroger the other day - a whole huge bag for $1 - and made a ton of banana baby food for Cash. I've also had great success with sweet potatoes. Tonight I made a large batch of steamed carrots. I knew we wouldn't eat them all, so I took out the portion we would then over-steamed the rest and threw them in the blender for Cash. Sounds like I'm on a roll, right?
Then, this happened:
This was a hard angle to get a picture of, but those are my top cabinets above the sink and yes, that's carrot on my ceiling!
I know what you're thinking... Why on earth would you take the lid off? Well, there was one carrot (ONE) that wouldn't mush in with the rest, so I got the bright idea to take the lid off and poke it a little. Needless to say, the spoon hit the blade and the carrots hit the ceiling! It was a mess!
My sweet husband got it all cleaned up for me - I mean I can't be climbing around on counters cleaning ceilings when I'm nine months pregnant! We all got a big laugh, as I was completely covered in carrot, and know that we will be finding remnants for a long time in the kitchen. Good test for those new maids! Now on to the biggest highlight of my day! The arrival of these new chairs for Holden and Cash!
E. Stone has had the monkey chair since Christmas and LOVES it! He sits and reads books in it, or watches Elmo. For the new playroom, I really wanted Cash and Holden to have a fun beanbag chair as well and happened to mention it in front of Heath's mom. Well, Nanny, Grandad and Aunt Brandi picked the chairs up for us for my shower on Saturday and had them delivered today. So exciting! Can't you just see all the boys lined up in them - too cute!

I hear ya on the babyfood thing. I was thinking that last night when i chopped up a million pieces of fruit for sara. Ok, it seemed like a million. I was also thinking to myself wouldn't it be nice to have a machine that could dice up this fruit for me into perfect toddler size cubes? oh to be rich...
By the way, those chairs are adorable! What a great idea. :)
