Hard Workers

I've been working for a while to set up stations for the boys that engage them a bit more and keep them occupied without zoning out. It took me a while to get a good rotation, but thanks to sites like 1+1+1=1, I have some great ideas and have even been able to set a few in motion. Behold, a set of sensory development stations, otherwise known by my children as a heck of a lot of fun!

Holden chilling in the water science lab. Here we've been working on the idea of buoyancy - taking balls, submersing them and watching them pop back up. Scientist in the house!

Ah, sense of space. What can fit through a funnel and what gets stuck? I filled our water table with beans, rocks, shells, little balls and toys, etc. and we took turns (a learning process in itself) to see what could fit through the funnel. This occupied E. Stone for hours, really!

Under pressure? Cash is seeing what happens when he stops the water for a while and lets pressure build up... volcano!
