Eating and Learning

We took an opportunity to work on our letters - and get a great sugar fix - making cookies!  We had gotten this greatWilton 101-Piece Cookie Cutter Set for Christmas, but I had some bad luck with cookie recipes to get them to work properly.

Usually I'm all for store-made shortcuts, but ready-made sugar cookie dough does not do well with cookie cutters, so trying to use it with these small letters would be impossible.  I Googled "best sugar cookie recipe for cookie cutters" and came up with this.  Let me tell you, PERFECT!

Holden and Cash really enjoyed painting the cookies with icing and eating it.

Cash even skipped the painting portion of the evening and just started licking the brush.  Daddy decided to take that a bit farther... that's why our daddy is so much fun!

Charlie and I were just reminiscing about how much fun it was to work with your hubby. Playing "eye spy" over the phone (with customers on hold) and calling people from the other person's phone, etc. I knew he would make a great Dad!
