It's a Girl!

Meet our newest family member!

No painful labor and no emotionally exhaustive adoption process needed! This beautiful baby arrived ready to be put to work!

Our kitchen will be so much more functional with this beautiful island that my daddy handcrafted especially for us!

I haven't chosen my hardware yet, but I'm so excited to. I have trash cans on two sides and drawers down the middle.

The back side has storage as well, for platters and things that you don't readily need.

She is, for sure, of the female variety-super functional, ability to multi-task...plus I needed another girl in this testosterone filled house!

We don't live in a huge house, so the space we do have has to be functional. I honestly don't want a larger house. We use every room we have, it's perfect for us. And now that all of the remodeling is complete we are LOVING all of our newfound spaces!

LOVE HER! It is so funny, when we were there last week to get the milk and E put the money on your little table in your kitchen, I wondered when the island would be making an appearance. WONDERFUL! LOVE IT!

By the way, is that all one piece? How in the world did he transport it! Huge!

That is awesome!! And your dad made it? What a family heirloom that will be! Absolutely perfect for your kitchen :) I'm giddy for you!! The trash cans, the drawers, the extra storage....so exciting!! I'm like you, I don't want a bigger house, I just want to make good use of the room I have by using smart storage like that! Can't wait to come see it in person. Man, look at all those exclamation points...I must be excited for you :)

That's fantastic! Though I must say... the title of this post was not very nice! :-P My dad is a craftsman, too. Isn't it special to have stuff our Daddy's make?
