Quiet Time

One of my goals for this year was to get in The Word. It's an area of my life that has really been lacking.  When I just had Stone I was actually good at carving out the time for myself, but as more kids were added I quickly struck it from my daily to-do list.  As the boys got older, and I found myself with little pockets of time, I was so out of the habit that I never added it back into the routine.  I'm so sad I missed out on this time!

I recently started a new Beth Moore study, Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit.  I've done several Disciple studies, but I'd never done a Beth Moore.  It's been such a good way to get back into The Word and prioritize my life.    I see changes in my attitude and behavior that can only come from being in God's word, and I hope others do too.

If you aren't in a study now, or have gotten out of the habit, I urge you to get back in.  It takes commitment, but you'll be so glad you did!

Thanks for the encouragement! This is an area that I've always struggled in. This time in my life it is even harder - and even more important!

I love Living Beyond Yourself! I went through it with a group of girls awhile ago, but might have to pick it back up again. So much knowledge in there!

My quiet times have been lacking too...the coinsistency is the part that gets me. I've been trying to totally change that this year!

I love Beth Moore. I read her book "Get out of that Pit" as I was starting to date Colby and I think it really helped me look at the good things of our relationship. I also did her "Desiring God" devotional. I unfortunately only got half way through it, but I liked how she makes you really analyze things.

Love Beth Moore! I've had the awesome opportunity to see her live a few times and attend her simulcasts, as well as go through several of her studies. She knows her stuff and helps you learn in such a relatable way. I think one of my favorites has been her "Esther" study. So good!

I love the Beth Moore studies! We opted not to do a Wednesday night Bible study this spring due to all the adjustment problems we are having with our boy. I really do miss it!
