I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great one, visiting with family and friends and getting to see some old friends that we hadn't seen in a while. We got a big surprise on Christmas day when my parents showed up with Scott! We weren't thinking that we would get to spend Christmas with him and were pretty bummed that we weren't going to get to spend that time with him, but Christmas surprises do happen! My mom said that they thought about putting him in a box for us, but that that might scar him for life! Instead, we just walked into a room and there he was playing - it was all I could do to keep from crying because I was so happy to see him!
Scott's Christmas surprise came in the form of a guitar - he's obsessed! We had told Heath's parents about how much Scott loved Heath's guitar, so they searched high and low and found a little guitar for him (actually a ukalale, since it's a more managable size). We'd ask if we could hold the guitar and he'd hug it to his chest and shake his head like a crazy man. It was his and he wasn't giving it up!
We wish you all the best in 2007 and hope you had a blessed Christmas! Here are a few pictures from our celebrations...
This is our cousin Ty singing the James Penguin song. It's the cutest song that Heath's mom found on a Brad Paisley CD. Ty can sing almost the entire song and was really cracking us up!
These are our Christmas cookies. Scott ate more M&Ms than he did decorate, but I think he still had fun. We made a gingerbread man for him (bottom right) and a gingerbread girl for our neighbor. Scott thought the cookies were yummy, but nothing beats just plain M&M's, right?
