More delays...

We received word yesterday afternoon that the paperwork for termination was not pushed through quickly enough. There will still be a trial tomorrow, but not for termination - just a recheck hearing. I've been assured that this is just a delay, it actually means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's just very difficult for Heath and I both to understand why the visits still need to keep coming...

We are not completely discouraged, but it has hit us pretty hard. There is no reason for us to go to court tomorrow, so we will be spending the day together as a family instead. Please continue prayers, since the paperwork missed this hearing, we are probably looking at another three months or so of visits before the termination hearing.

The "rules" for the visits were changed a bit. Since Ethan's birthparents have missed three visits, they will need to arrive by 9 a.m. for the 10 a.m. visit. If they aren't there on time, I will be called and the visit will be cancelled. This is good news considering it's another hurdle for them and also will prevent us from having to drive down there only to turn around and drive back. So, at least it might cut our weekly visits down.

Thank you all for your prayers and support...
