First visit

I will post some fun photos later of our recent trip to the splash park with E. Stone and Cash and our house under construction. Yesterday they had the roof pulled down to the studs! The have some patches of the new roof up and I think we made a good choice. I miss our old roof, but it was way too expensive to replace. I know we made the right decision, just missing some of the character!

Today is the first visit for Cash with his bio mom. I really don't want to go through this again, but know that it's just a step in the process. Originally, we were going to have CPS provide all of the transportation for the visits, just so we weren't making it too easy on them, but when I realized that he would be part of a carpool and possibly sit in an office to wait on other kids to be finished with their visits, I decided that I would be the one to pick up and drop off. I just can't be away from my baby that long!

I, however, will not monitor the visits like I did with E. Stone. It's just a bit too much so I'm going to pray over him as I hand him off and trust that God will keep him safe while he's there. I know there are case workers and yes, I understand that it's their job, but they aren't his mom and they don't love him like I do.

So, prayers please as we begin this process. Prayers that the court will be speedy and the visits will end, and prayers for my sweet boy while he's in the visit. Today the visit is from 10 a.m. to noon because I have a doctors appointment after, but the standing visits will be on Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. Maybe she'll do like the last time and just stop showing up? We can only hope!
