I honestly can't remember who told me to get on Facebook, but I'm angry at them! It's addictive! I am so enjoying catching up with people who I haven't seen/heard from in a while, hearing about their beautiful families and also chatting with some people who I see all the time but would like to know more about their days.
So, looking forward to next week, specifically Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent, I regret to inform you that The Chambers Family will be going dark when it comes to blogging and Facebook. I've thought a lot (with hubby's help) about what I could do to find more time with God and more time for my family, and this, dear folks, is the answer.
Now, don't worry, I'll still collect photos and write one heck of a catch up blog once we're back. Before we go dark, you do have one more "Not Me Monday" to look forward to and a great post of the photos from Cash's birthday!
So, fair warning, the day is coming - did I mention we're cutting the TV too! Whatever will we do with ourselves? I will still check e-mail (not the account connected to Facebook) and use the Internet to check the weather, but other than that it's "Hasta la vista, baby!"

Hey Brit. I'd love to connect with you on Facebook. I'll email you with my full name so you can find me. :P Enjoy your time away. I really need to do that as well. It's time to seek God's face about adopting Daisy. :)
I so admire your decision on this. B and I have talked about just these things a lot. TV and computers, especially, take so much time away from our families and our time with God...you are taking a bold step in the right direction! Good for you! I am so proud of you.
I actually did this (the blogging part) for our 40 day fast a while ago and it was really hard but REALLY rewarding...I didn't even realize how much time I was pouring into that instead of the Word. I'll be praying for you through this!
