My mom was admitted to the hospital on Friday and had emergency surgery on Saturday morning to remove a blockage in her colon. The blockage turned out to be a malignant tumor, so we are working through treatment options. The good news is that the surgeon feels that he got all of the tumor and didn't see any spread, but they will most likely still do some sort of therapy (chemo or radiation) to make sure that it is all gone and taken care of.
Right now, the family as a whole is doing well. It's been a lot to swallow, but we were all there together. I flipped into take care of everyone mode and seem to be surviving well for now in that state. We would appreciate prayers for my mom as she makes decisions regarding her health, as well as prayers for the doctors who are handling her care.
I'll update more as I know it...

Please send your Mom my love and best wishes and let her know that she is in my prayers as are all of you. She is part of our family too, If you need me to stay with the boys or do anything at all, please just give me a call.

I'm so sorry to read the news, please let your mom know she is in our prayers. Also, let me know if you guys need anything, some groceries or a meal.....one more thing you wouldn't have to worry about.
