Freebie Friday

I've let my coupons get away from me, but I'm working to fix that.  With my success this week, I think I might just get it all done!

I hit Walmart up for wipes and body wash this week.  It was a quick run-in, run-out with three kids.  We did it in less than 10 minutes.  Even with mass coupon disorganization, I managed to scrounge up the coupons  needed for this purchase in 15 minutes.  Not very time consuming at all!

I got two packs of Pampers wipes (the one with the flip top), one 18-count pack of Infinity pads by Always and two bottles of Nivea men's body wash.  With this, I made $3.56 cents.  I was expecting my purchase to be free (even with some overage), so I had already taken one for the team and grabbed a Diet Coke for the road.  (Walmart doesn't like to actually give you cash back when you have an overage, so I often have to buy a few filler items to make my purchase all come out at the register)  I've looked at the receipt several times and can't figure out where that amount of overage came from.  The clerk had to price check the pads, so I think he might have voided the charge twice and then applied the $3 coupon?  But, my receipt doesn't show that mistake.  If I would have known, I would have purchased some cheap lotion because we are running super low, but alas, we just grabbed two bags M&Ms off the shelf to make up the difference.  That made the kids super happy! (and brought my grand total for all the items including the Coke and M&Ms to 3 cents)

I really wish that my coupons would have been more organized, because I would have loved to have stolen purchased more wipes.  I love these flip top packs for the car because they seem to stay moist even in the heat. Maybe I can scrounge up a few more before their end of July expiration!

Is there any way I can convince you into giving me a tutorial on how to do this coupon stuff right? I clip coupons, but I think I am missing the bigger picture.

I tried to keep wipes in the car. They FROZE! I didn't even think of this. I'm so glad that I realized it before I really needed them.

Amber, living in Texas freezing NEVER crossed my mind! I will admit that they are often very warm wipes!
