I Come From The Water*

This post had me laughing out loud, mostly because I could have written it myself!  I don't like anything that comes from the water... actually, that's a lie.  I'm so grossed out by the thought of eating something that came from the water that I've never tried it.  So, I'm not sure if I like it or not... but I'm going to stick with don't.

I would really like to not project my weird food issues on my children, so I'm going to try and add some fish to our menus.  I don't know if I'll make it through to cooking it though, we'll see.

The person who wrote the aforementioned post, is none other than my fabulous blog designer and Christmas card maker, Lindsey.  She's a fab cook too!  If I didn't love her so much I would, in all honesty, hate her.  Really!  She introduced me to this amazing handbag that I can't afford and posts recipes for things that I shouldn't eat, like muffaletas, sugared pecans, mac and cheese, green bean bundles... sorry, I just slipped away thinking of all of that food!

So, if you are looking for something new to add to your menu, just head over to www.momandwife.com.  You'll be glad you did! Or, maybe you won't be since you'll be hooked and want to cook up all sorts of yumminess?

And speaking of yumminess, we're in full cooking mode here!  The boys and I whipped up a whole lot of Christmas goodness, making and delivering Cranberry, Macadamia and White Chocolate Cookies to our teachers and friends.  Many have asked me for my recipe, so I decided to post it for all.  Not that it's MY recipe or anything... isn't the internet great like that!

There's a place near us called Festive Kitchen that makes a Cranberry, Macadamia, and White Chocolate cookie dough you can buy (kind of a super expensive break-and-bake). We got it as a gift last year and fell in love! Problem is, it way expensive!

I tried several recipes and this one was the closest I could find!

I think I might try walnut instead of macadamia the next go round... What do you think?

I love that song! Couldn't read the title without hearing it in the distinctive melody. I commented on Lindsey's blog. Noticed your comment about diet coke... seriously, that stuff is poison!

I know, I know... but honestly, sometimes it's the only way to make it through the day!

I need to quit!
