Out of the Ordinary

Today I did something out of the ordinary*...I turned on the television during the day. I know, I know, it's not anything life changing, bit it's weird for me. The bit of watching that I did (maybe 30 minutes while I folded clothes and ate some hummus and chips) did make me realize it had been a really long time since I'd watched daytime television. That 30 minutes also left me with a lot of questions:

- Who is Nate?
- Since when is Nancy Grace on any other station than CNN? Is she a judge?
- Why are the guests on the show all involved via satellite? Do shows not fly guests in anymore?

Long story short, I don't feel as if I'm missing out on much. I think I'll just stick with being productive and leaving the television off!

* this post brought to you by the fact that all of my children napped today and my being caught up on chores and bills and blogging. Don't expect it to happen again in the near future!

While I watch more than my share of evening and weekend tv, I've never heard of Nate and while I've heard of Nancy Grace, I've never seen the show. So I'm no help. But hooray for napping children and being caught up!

This made me laugh. I don't actually watch the telly that much during the day myself, but record a years worth on DVR to watch all by my lonesome at night when my early birds sleep. However, I, too, find that I delete most everything out of the sheer stupidity that is today's programming. You're not missing out, I'll second that! :)

If it's the Nate I'm thinking of, that would be Nate Berkus. I believe he got his start as one of Oprah's specialty experts - he's an interior designer and now has his own show. I actually really like it - a talk show that revolves around design! :)
