We're staying in our jammies and listening to Christmas music, we're sitting by the fire, we're drinking hot wassail and we're doing a whole lot of cuddling. Sometimes these kind of days are just what you need!
We've been working through our advent calendar of ideas this week and the boys love it! They really have the Christmas story down and I love hearing their retellings of the famous verses, which includes:
"There was no room for Jesus in the hotel, but there is a room for me there. Mommy will call first to make sure!"
Sorry Mary, I think I threw you under the bus...
I keep a basketful of Christmas cards from years' past on the hearth and Stone read through all of them this morning. He pointed out the people he knew and told stories about all the things he'd done with them in the past. That kid has a cracker-jack memory!
There was some tent building (and crashing) and we're spending lots of quality time with our Christmas train...
And when we aren't playing with our train sets, we're building trains of our own...
This, of course, is the sleeper car...
I'm building our winter snow bin today and we're planning on delivering some cookies (yes, in our jams!)
I'll have the full run down of our week in a Tot School post tomorrow and plan on sharing week two of the Advent calendar of activities on Wednesday, so stay tuned!
