Exciting news!

We received some promising news on Thursday of last week. There is a 4-month-old baby boy that we might have the possibility of adopting. Everything is still very fuzzy right now as the state works through details with the birth parents. Everyone was scheduled to go to court last Friday, but with the bad weather we had down here the courts have to close and the case was delayed until the 19th. In the meantime, Heath and I are hoping to learn more information from the case worker and get as involved with the case as possible.

We are also finishing up some of the last bits of paperwork for the court. Tomorrow we'll be fingerprinted by the FBI and then on Valentines Day we will get TB tests - I know, very romantic. There are still several additional details like that to work through and I'll be sending a recap e-mail along to our case worker to get those things scheduled today.

For now, we're praying and hoping and ask for you guys to do the same. As soon as we have additional information we will pass it along to you guys. It's possible that we might have pictures sometime soon, so I'll pass those out via e-mail just as soon as we have them.

This is by no means a sure deal, but a definite step in the right direction. Heath and I are cautious to get our hopes up, it's so hard not to just start thinking of this baby as ours, but we are trying our best to remove ourselves and just be onlookers. The more info we have we will pass along ASAP! Thank you all for your support through prayers and the many offers we've already received for clothes, gear and toys. As soon as we know which way we're moving for sure, I will definitely take you up on your offers... God bless you all this week!
