A little big time

With both of the big boys in speech school daily it's not often that I get to spend gobs of alone time with them. I know it's a part of them growing up, but it makes me realize all too quickly they will soon be in school all day and stolen moments with them will become even harder.

This morning was different. The littles went to mother's day out and Stone and Cash had a teacher's inservice. The weather outside was perfect, so we headed to "sandy park" to get dirty and have some fun!

Cash found this stick early in our adventure and it served as a magic key for the rest of the morning. It opened doors to the clouds and closed the slide to his brother. His imagination astounds me!

"Sandy park" is the only park I know of in our area that still uses sand as a ground cover. The kids love the playground equipment, but treasure digging in the sand offers an extra layer of fun.

Stone loves the slides and especially enjoyed having the "windy" in his hair. It's been a while since we've had wind in Texas!

Cash rode the merry-go-round for the first time and is now in love. After working up a sweat, and thinking that I might throw up from running in circles, I got smart and taught Stone how to push him.

I brought my portable potty for the boys, so we were able to stay for a super long time (we used it twice for TT and once for poo poo, thankyouverymuch)

It was a great morning with the big half of my littles. Cash even tried pumping himself on the swing. "I'm a backing and a forthing, mommy!"

Thank you God for this opportunity to enjoy them, before they really do get too big...

Glad you got to make and have special moments with the big boys. Hard to believe Stone is 4 already and Cash is getting so big too. Love you all,

Oh how this post resonates with me. E is loving five mornings a week Pre-K, but told me yesterday that she is afraid she is missing out on things with me. Oh, I am missing out things with her too. Will I ALWAYS miss her so much when she is in school? AUGH! So we are trying even harder to make every moment count!

Amy, I think we'll always miss them. I tried putting bricks on their head to keep them little and that didn't work. Now I don't know what to do!

I love your story of your 3 boys! It's so perfect and beautiful! I have two boys...have considered adoption in the past but not sure how we'd make it work. I love reading stories about it. Blessings to you and your family! Saw you on Blog Frog wanted to say hi! ~Kimberly
